Incubator Program Guide
The incubator was founded with the idea that ideas or results generated through scientific research are transformed into concrete innovations in the long term. In this way, concrete high-tech innovations are obtained that provide startups with a competitive advantage on the market.
Goals
1. Stimulation of the formation of startup teams
2. Identification of the most promising teams
3. Raising the level of knowledge and skills of selected teams for a successful startup
4. Engaging the resources and infrastructure of BioSens to develop innovative solutions of selected teams
5. Mentoring support in the process of writing a project proposal before applying for calls from funds that support startups
Duration
The program lasts one year and is divided into 7 modules during which the teams have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge necessary for the commercialization of their ideas.
The selected teams have the opportunity to use the full capacity of the scientific research equipment owned by the BioSens Institute – in order to validate their concept and test the idea. For teams that do not need this service of the Institute (e.g. they do not have hardware testing planned), the employees of the Institute are at their disposal in order to further develop the idea (e.g. software).

3

Demo day
After all completed modules, the teams will be invited to the “BIOS In-cube Demo day” competition, where the teams will present their ideas to mentors, successful entrepreneurs and investors. At the competition, the winner of the program will be selected based on the presentation of the idea, evaluation of the progress of the idea and technical progress.
Support based on experience
So far, practice has shown that a large number of ideas, especially innovative ones, have not seen the light of day due to the lack of market thinking during the development and implementation process, and therefore this BIOS In-Cube Incubator program is specifically focused on this aspect. By further developing this segment, program participants will have the opportunity, in addition to gaining knowledge, to test their ideas in front of distinguished experts, improve and correct them in order to become more attractive to investors and end users/consumers. We especially emphasize that we help each team when writing project proposals if they want to submit their idea to one of the calls for funding.
